A woman who blackmailed a married businessman with pictures of them having sex pleaded guilty to the charge Wednesday.

Stephanie Moore, 25, is likely to receive probation, but Douglas County District Judge Michael Malone said that could change if a pre-sentence investigation uncovers an extensive criminal history.

A charge of conspiring to commit blackmail was dropped when Moore pleaded guilty to the blackmail charge.

According to earlier court testimony, the 54-year-old Shawnee businessman met Moore when she worked as a dancer at the Flamingo Club, 501 N. Ninth. She later quit her job, but her liaisons with the businessman continued.

On Oct. 21, the businessman met the woman at her Lawrence residence, and the two had sexual intercourse. At that point, Robert Williams -- who also goes by the name Percy Adams -- jumped out of a nearby closet and took up to six Polaroid photos of the couple.

Moore and Williams allegedly demanded $15,000 from the businessman and threatened to send the pictures to his wife. The businessman asked for more time to get the money. Instead, he told police, who set up a sting in which the man traded $1,000 for the first photo.

The next day, he returned to the house, wired for audio by the police.

Williams has since been arrested on another charge and is in prison in Indiana. Details of that case weren't available Wednesday.

Trapp said a bench warrant has been issued in Douglas County for Williams' arrest, and he will be tried on blackmail charges when he is released by Indiana authorities.

Sentencing for Moore is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Nov. 11.
