IN 1974

Clyde Walker, KU athletic director, reported that student season ticket sales for home football games were down but that public purchases were up for the 1974 season. Students earlier had protested a department policy raising football and basketball prices and trying to force dual purchase for the two sports. Some had called for Walker's firing, but Chancellor Archie Dykes stood behind the director in his approach to boost revenue.
