ANAMAE WALKER EASUM

Oskaloosa -- Services for Anamae Walker Easum, 85, Oskaloosa, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Oskaloosa First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Oskaloosa.

Mrs. Easum died Monday, Sept. 27, 1999, at the Hickory Pointe Care Center, Oskaloosa.

She was born April 21, 1914, in Denison, the daughter of Lester Francis and Josephine (Preston) Ramey. She graduated from Denison High School in 1932, and moved to Oskaloosa 55 years ago.

Mrs. Easum worked as the director of lunchrooms for Oskaloosa Public Schools for 16 years. She also had owned and operated the Old Bank Cafe and Elm Cafe, Oskaloosa. She owned and operated the "Seweasy" Fabric Shop, Oskaloosa, until retirement.

She was a member of the Oskaloosa First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was a charter member of the Rebekah Lodge No. 747, Oskaloosa, and she was a co-founder and charter member of the Better Homes & Gardens Club, Oskaloosa.

She married Glenn R. Walker on July 11, 1932, in Denison. They were later divorced. She married George Lawrence Easum on Sept. 25, 1982, in Lawrence. He died May 14, 1988.

Survivors include two sons, Harlan Walker, Tacoma, Wash., and Ramey F. Walker, Oskaloosa; two daughters, Shirley Rose, Quenemo, and Wanda Kisner, Topeka; a stepdaughter, Janet Derby, Topeka; two brothers, Howard Ramey, Cameron, Mo., and Cecil Ramey, Goodland; a sister, Helen Hooper, Cameron, Mo.; 23 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; a stepgreat-grandchild; and six great-great-grandchildren.

A son, Lester L. Walker, a daughter, Glenda Goins, a stepson, Larry Easum, and four grandchildren, Audrey Walker, Julie Goins, Barry Goins and Larry Walker, all preceded her in death.

Friends may call for visitation after 10 a.m. Thursday at the Barnett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

The family suggests memorials to the Oskaloosa First United Methodist Church, and they may be sent in care of the Barnett Funeral Home, P.O. Box 416, Oskaloosa, 66066.
