PAULINE ROBERTSON
Services for Pauline Robertson, 70, Lawrence, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church, Lawrence. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Robertson died Sunday, Sept. 26, 1999, at her home.
She was born Nov. 23, 1928, in Phillipsburg, the daughter of Walter and Ruby (Smith) Harper. She moved to Lawrence in 1953.
Mrs. Robertson had taught music in the Cawker City School District and worked as a receptionist for the Lawrence National Bank from 1973 to 1978 and for the Lawrence school district from 1978 to 1982. She then worked as a receptionist for the Kansas University Computer Center until retiring in 1992.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the church's women's group. She was also a member of Cosmo Pals, and was an original member of the Square DeLites square-dancing club.
She married Donald M. Robertson on Feb. 25, 1950, in Phillipsburg. He died Aug. 22, 1973.
Survivors include two sons, David Robertson, Fayetteville, N.C., and Alan Robertson, Lawrence; two sisters, Norma Buchner, Phillipsburg, and Reges Fruit, Gothenburg, Neb.; a brother, Ray Harper, Concordia; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to the Hospice Care of Douglas County, American Cancer Society or the First United Methodist Church Organ and Music Fund, and they may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
