MARY O. FEARING
Services for Mary O. Fearing, 91, Lawrence, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
Mrs. Fearing died Friday, Sept. 24, 1999.
She was born May 26, 1908, in Diamond, Okla., the daughter of O. J. and Edye Cole. She moved to Lawrence in 1952.
During World War II, Mrs. Fearing served in the American Red Cross. She later worked at the Kansas University Library until retiring in 1972, when she began to teach piano lessons.
She was a member of the Sigma Alpha Iota music sorority, Lawrence Piano Teachers League, Lawrence Music Club and the Plymouth Congregational Church.
She married Bascom Fearing in June 1949, in Yokohama, Japan. He preceded her in death.
