Shawnee — Lawrence High's junior varsity volleyball team was 2-2 in pool play Saturday at the Shawnee Miege Tournament.
Lawrence defeated Shawnee Mission East 15-8, 15-9 and DeSoto 15-4, 15-9. Shawnee Miege defeated the Lions 15-4, 15-5, and Kansas City, Mo., O'Hara beat Lawrence 15-11, 15-3.
Middle blocker Nicki Wenger was cited for strong play.
Lawrence plays again Tuesday at Blue Valley in an event that also includes city rival Free State.
