Kansas City, Mo. -- Down 7-0 at halftime, Eudora scored 24 unanswered points -- 17 in the final quarter -- to topple Kansas City (Mo.) Hogan, 24-7, on Saturday afternoon.
"We played with a lot more intensity in the second half," EHS coach Aaron Barnett said. "I don't know if playing a day game had something to do with it, but our effort was poor in the first half. We changed that in the second half."
Eudora (2-2) amassed 300 yards total offense and limited Hogan (1-3) to 98 yards.
EHS quarterback Aaron Rose had 15 rushes for 59 yards and two touchdowns.
"We ran the option 75 percent of the time and he did a great job running it," Barnett said.
EHS running back Jarrad Born had 10 carries for 135 yards, including a 24-yard TD run.
Eudora's Blane Christenson had 15 rushes for 64 yards.
Charlie Groninger booted a 24-yard field goal in the fourth quarter and kicked two PATs for the Cardinals.
Next for EHS is Mission Valley on Friday. Kickoff for the Cardinals' homecoming game is 7 p.m.
