MILDRED THOMAS
Urbana, Ill. -- Services for Mildred Thomas, 88, Urbana, were held Sept. 18, 1999, at Renner-Wikoff Chapel. Burial was in East Lawn Cemetery, Urbana.
Mrs. Thomas died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1999, at Carle Hospital, Urbana.
She was born May 6, 1911, in Sidney, the daughter of Roy and Leslie (Yazel) Youngblood. She was a graduate of Sidney High School.
Mrs. Thomas was a secretary for the State of Illinois Public Health Department, Chicago, and a member of the Carle Hospital Auxiliary.
She married Kenneth K. Thomas on Feb. 10, 1935, in Shelbyville. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Martin Thomas, Lawrence, Kan., and Stephen Thomas, Arcola; a sister, Mary Galey, Tolono; eight grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
A grandson died earlier.
The family suggests memorials to the Carle Hospital Auxiliary. They may be sent in care of Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Road, Urbana 61802.
