Confirmed: 37,000. Trade quiet early, active just before noon. Slaughter steers and heifers 1.00 lower than last week. Inquiry good, demand light early, moderate later. Sales confirmed on 13,200 slaughter steers and 23,800 slaughter heifers Thursday. For the week to date 116,100 head confirmed including 31,000 head or about 27 percent of previously contracted or formulated cattle. Sales FOB feedlot net weights after 4 percent shrink.
