Brooks says Kansas

shows interest

One of the quickest point guards on the West coast says Kansas has expressed interest in the basketball recruiting process.

Brandon Brooks, a 5-11 senior from Jefferson High in Portland, Ore., said a KU assistant coach watched him play last week and head coach Roy Williams paid a visit to his head coach, Marshall Haskins.

Brooks, who is a standout football player, averaged 19 points, 11 assists and six rebounds last year. He says UNLV and St. Louis have asked him to visit their campuses. He's expected to sign late because of football season taking up much of his time.
