Topeka -- Services for James Garland "FireEagle" Boose, 76, Lecompton, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the Parker-Price Mortuary. Burial will be in East View Cemetery, Big Springs.

Mr. Boose died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1999, at his home.

He was born Feb. 1, 1923, in Topeka, the son of James C. and Grace Pansy (Netterfield) Boose.

Mr. Boose was a member of the U.S. Army during World War II. After the war he worked for Boeing Aircraft, Wichita; Meinholdt Welding, Topeka; and Hamms Inc., Perry; and retired in 1971.

He was a member of the Will Rogers Indian Club, Springfield, Mo.; Shawnee County Allied Tribes, Topeka; and the Moberly, Mo., PowWow Committee.

He married Marian Belle Mosher on Feb. 24, 1944, in Topeka. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include five sons, David W., Donald R., James A., Michael A., and Edward L., all of rural Lecompton; two daughters, Barbara Russell, Lecompton, and Susan Boose, Lawrence; a brother, C. David, Lecompton; three sisters, Faye Ayers, Lecompton, Audrey Maust, Topeka, and Chalice Urton, Wichita; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. today at the mortuary.
