Kirksville, Mo. -- Memorial services for Gordon W. Robinson, 89, Kirksville, Mo., will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Travis-Noe Funeral Home. Cremation will follow services.

Mr. Robinson died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1999, at the Northeast Regional Medical Center, Kirksville, Mo.

He was born Feb. 17, 1910, in Elmer, Mo., the son of James D. and Jenetta Katherine (Epperson) Robinson.

Mr. Robinson had taught in the Elmer (Mo.) school system, and worked 35 years for the Santa Fe Railroad Company. He was a member of the Chariton Ridge Baptist Church.

He married Loretta M. Helm on Nov. 1, 1939, in Kirksville, Mo. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include five daughters, Morna Calef, Lawrence, Sharon Murray, Baldwin, Linda Matthews, Houston, and Kathy Selby and Lana McClanahan, both of Kirksville, Mo.; two sons, Kent, Lawrence, and Kirk, Kirksville, Mo.; two brothers, Paul, LaPlata, Mo., and Carlyle, Kirksville, Mo.; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to the Gordon Robinson Memorial Fund, and they may be sent in care of the Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, Mo. 63501.
