IN 1974

Evangelist Bill Glass, former Cleveland Browns football player, began an eight-day Christian crusade in Lawrence with appearances scheduled in Allen Fieldhouse. Protests had prevented his appearing on programs in local public schools on the basis of separation of church and state.
