KU graduate
to donate $50,000
A Kansas University alumnus has promised $50,000 to the university when he dies.
Marc Colby, a Wichita businessman, made the promise as part of his will, the Kansas University Endowment Association announced Tuesday.
Colby's donation are in unrestricted funds, meaning university administrators can spend them as they see fit.
Colby is a 1974 graduate of KU, and he earned a law degree from Washburn University. He is the managing partner of New England Mutual Financial in Wichita.
