FAYE GILLILAND

Overbrook -- Services for Faye Gilliland, 58, rural Overbrook, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Overbrook. Burial will follow in Dean Cemetery.

Mrs. Gilliland died Monday, Sept. 20, 1999, at her home.

She was born April 8, 1941, in Pomona, the daughter of Paul A. and Ivie Odessel (Sailor) Garber. She graduated from Appanoose High School in 1959.

Mrs. Gilliland had been a leader of the North Osage 4-H Club, and had served on the Marion Township election board. She was a member of the Dean Baptist Church, north of Pomona, and the Lyndon and Michigan Valley Saddle Clubs.

She married Rex Eugene Gilliland on Nov. 2, 1958, at the Dean Baptist Church. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include three daughters, Diane L. McCaleb, Emporia, Kim C. Ganger, Carbondale, and Shelly R. Trout, Overbrook; her mother and stepfather, Ivie and Max Hetrick, Pomona; a brother, Edward Garber, Ottawa; two sisters, Lois Ikenberry, Montgomery, Ala., and Della Hamilton, Pomona; and six grandchildren.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Greenwood-Roberts-Heise Funeral Home, Overbrook, where the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today.

The family suggests memorials to the Appanoose Alumni Assn., and they may be sent in care of the Greenwood-Roberts-Heise Funeral Home, P.O. Box 268, Overbrook 66524.
