ELVIE ESTHER HOWARD
Graveside services for Elvie Esther Howard, 83, Lawrence, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Howard died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1999, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 23, 1916, in Lawrence, the daughter of Morris Henry and Mary Eva (Trovillion) Raber.
Mrs. Howard married Walter D. "Pete" Howard Jr. on March 15, 1934, in Lawrence. He died April 6, 1998.
Survivors include a son, John D. Howard, Lawrence; five daughters, Glenda Wilkins, Perry, and Patricia J. Woodruff, Sharon Patterson, Joan L. Howard and Delores Howard, all of Lawrence; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Two sons, Walter LeRoy Howard and Gerald Dwayne Howard, died earlier.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to noon today at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
