MAIZE WHITSON

Services for Maize Foreman Whitson, 86, Lawrence, will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Wyuka Cemetery in Lincoln, Neb.

Mrs. Whitson died Saturday, Sept. 18, 1999, at her home in Lawrence.

She had been a resident of Lawrence since moving here from Waukee, Iowa, 12 years ago.

She was born Sept. 1, 1913, in Palmyra, Neb., the daughter of Claud and Mable Quinn Foreman.

She was a graduate of Eagle High School in Eagle, Neb.

Mrs. Whitson was manager of Children's Shoes at Younkers and later for Roosevelt Bootery, both in Waukee, Iowa.

She was a member of the Waukee Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Women's Society.

She married Stanley Whitson on Sept. 4, 1939, in Palmyra, Neb. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter, Mary Greenwald, Newburgh, Ind.; two sons, Bill Whitson, St. Louis, and Rick Whitson, Lawrence; a brother, Richard Foreman, Norco, Calif.; a sister, Mary Foreman Glass, San Diego; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

The family suggests memorials to the Waukee Methodist Church in Waukee, Iowa. Memorials may be sent in care of the mortuary.
