MAIZE FOREMAN WHITSON

Services for Maize Foreman Whitson, 86, Lawrence, will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Wyuka Cemetery, Lincoln, Neb.

Mrs. Whitson died Saturday, Sept. 18, 1999, at her home.

She was born Sept. 1, 1913, in Elmwood, Neb., the daughter of Claud and Mable (Quinn) Foreman. She graduated from Eagle (Neb.) High School and moved to Lawrence 12 years ago from Waukee, Iowa.

Mrs. Whitson was manager of Children's Shoes at Younkers and later for Roosevelt Bootery, both in Des Moines, Iowa. She was a member of the Waukee (Iowa) Methodist Church and the church's Women's Society.

She married Stanley Whitson on Sept. 4, 1939, in Palmyra, Neb. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter, Mary Greenwald, Newburgh, Ind.; two sons, Bill Whitson, St. Louis, Mo., and Rick Whitson, Lawrence; a brother, Richard Foreman, Norco, Calif.; a sister, Mary Foreman Glass, San Diego; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The family suggests memorials to the Waukee Methodist Church, and they may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
