At one time the geographical center of the U.S. was Lebanon, Kan. Since Alaska and Hawaii have been added, I'm wondering if there is a geographical center now and, if so, where is it?
While the center of the first 48 states is near Lebanon at 39°50' North and 98°35' West, the geographic center of United States, including Alaska and Hawaii, is west of Castle Rock, S.D., at 44°58' latitude, 103°46' W longitude, according to Infoplease.com at www.infoplease.lycos.com/.
