Blood drive comes
to Allen Fieldhouse
As a precautionary measure to make sure that local hospitals do not experience a shortage in emergency blood, the Kansas Blood Services/Community Blood Center is having a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Allen Fieldhouse on the Kansas University campus.
Since Sept. l0, the blood center has experienced a 20 percent drop in donations, lowering inventory by 400 units.
The goal of this drive is to collect at least 680 units of blood, which will provide an extra day's blood supply.
All donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health.
