Accident kills
motorcyclist
An employee of the Kmart distribution center in Lawrence died Saturday morning in a motorcycle accident along U.S. Highway 24 near Perry.
Donald D. Rake, 48, Lawrence, was heading westbound when he lost control of his motorcycle and flipped it about 9:40 a.m., according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
Rake suffered fatal head injuries, the KHP said.
He was not wearing a helmet.
Additional information about the accident was not available Saturday.
