PRIVATE FIRST CLASS JACKQULINE N. ABBOTT, Baldwin, is temporarily working with recruiters of the Army recruiting station in Lawrence. Abbott is a 1991 graduate of Baldwin High School and a graduate of Brown Mackie College. She is the daughter of Dorthy Armstrong, Lawrence.
Abbott enlisted in the Army in July 1998 as an administrative specialist, completed Basic Training and attended six weeks of advanced individual training. Her enlistment contract ends in about three years.
PRIVATE FIRST CLASS JUSTIN NEAL COURTNEY, a 1995 graduate of McLouth High School, has graduated U.S. Marine Corp. basic training. Courtney will attend school at Fort Leonardwood, Mo., for six weeks. Courtney's wife, Jody, and son, Brett, are living in Lawrence until Courtney receives assignment.
