MARGARET F. BARTOW

Memorial services for Margaret F. Bartow, 79, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church in Lawrence. Cremation and private inurnment are planned.

Mrs. Bartow died Thursday, Sept. 16, 1999, at her home.

She was born June 25, 1920, in Cottonwood Falls, the daughter of Hugh and Blanche (West) Finley. She moved to Lawrence in 1986 from Ozawkie.

From 1959 to 1964, Mrs. Bartow was president and owner of the Capitol Card Company, New Orleans. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Chapter EA of the P.E.O. Sisterhood.

She was married to Lyman Hoffine and he died in 1957. She married Charles Bartow in 1964. He died in 1995. She married Leonard Quick on Sept. 8, 1998, in Estes Park, Colo. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Robert Hoffine, Columbiana, Ala., and Richard Hoffine, Lenexa; a daughter, Susan Marvine, Arlington, Tex.; a sister, Ruthanne Lacey, Lawrence; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice Care of Douglas County or the Bartow Scholarship Fund at the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Mo., and they may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
