KU volleyballers
head to Tennessee
Kansas University's volleyball team will be in Knoxville this weekene for the Tennessee Classic.
The Jayhawks, 6-2, will meet Lehigh at 5 p.m. today, then tangle with Eastern Michigan at noon and Tennessee at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
Kansas will begin Big 12 Conference play at home next Wednesday against Texas. Game time is 7 p.m. at the Horejsi Center.
KU swim teams
to race at Clinton
Kansas University swimmers will entertain Southern Illinois on Saturday in a 5K open-water race at Clinton Lake.
The men's race will begin at 8 a.m. near the marina with the women's event scheduled to begin five minutes after the completion of men's competition.
"It's the only meet of its kind in the country," KU coach Gary Kempf said. "It will be a viewer-friendly race."
