Knoxville, Tenn. -- Kansas University's volleyball team dumped Lehigh 15-5, 15-6, 15-2, to open the Lady Vol Classic.
Junior Amy Myatt belted 10 kills with just two errors in 16 attempts, for a .500 attack percentage. Senior middle blocker Amanda Reves chipped in with five kills, two aces and seven digs, while sophomore setter Molly LaMere led the team with 26 assists.
"We had a hard time creating tempo in the first game," KU coach Ray Bechard said. "They were playing a little slower pace than we're used to. Once we got it going at our pace, we played a very clean, business-like match. Nine aces to six errors is a good ratio for us, and we got a lot of people involved. I think we gave a lot of people a chance to swing at the ball tonight."
Kansas, 7-2, will meet Eastern Michigan and Tennessee today.
