South clobbers
California Trail
Brandon McAnderson scored on runs of 3, 51 and 6 yards, and Chris Fulton scored on an 82-yard kickoff return and a 42-yard run as South defeated Olathe California Trail, 34-16, in junior high football Thursday.
South also scored a pair of two-point conversions -- on a run by McAnderson and a pass from Brandon Womack to Derrick Newman.
Also cited for their play were Sean Carriger and Wes Cook on defense, Deshon Frye on special teams, and Kenny Poverlein on the offensive line.
South (2-1) will play at Shawnee Mission North on Thursday.
