10 a.m.-4 p.m.: Parks and Recreation Department's brush and tree branch collection site open, 1110 Haskell.

9:30 a.m.: Grand opening of Lawrence Nature Center and dedication of "Occurrence" sculpture, 2730 Harper. Events scheduled during the day.

SUNDAY

1:30 p.m.: Dedication service for Doug Buckley family, Cornerstone Southern Baptist Church, 802 W. 22nd Ter., by Lawrence Habitat for Humanity. Followed by an ice cream social from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 1626 Lindenwood Lane given by Habitat's covenant churches.

MONDAY

9 a.m.: Douglas County Commission, county courthouse, 11th and Massachusetts.
