Burglaries and thefts reported
- An employee of Burger King, 1301 W. 23rd, reported the theft of a drive-through speaker box and pole from the restaurant between midnight Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday. The speaker was valued at $1,000.
- A 47-year-old Iola woman reported the theft of a 1997 GMC Jimmy and a cream-colored wedding dress from the parking lot at Lawrence Memorial Hospital between 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and 2 a.m. Wednesday. The car was valued at $20,000, the dress at $180.

Because of a computer problem, Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical reports from Tuesday were not available Thursday.
