The Other Sister
Starring Juliette Lewis, Diane Keaton, Tom Skerritt, Giovanni Ribisi, Poppy Montgomery, Sarah Paulson, Linda Thorson, Joe Flanigan, Juliet Mills and Hector Elizondo. Director Garry Marshall's stridently upbeat tearjerker about a mentally challenged young woman (Lewis) who craves independence from her controlling mother (Keaton, at the top of her form), worried that her daughter is unequipped for autonomy. Starring Jackie Chan, Maggie Cheung and Teddy Robin. Martial artist Chan plays identical twins mixed up with Hong Kong gangsters. This minor 1992 movie is being released to capitalize on Chan's major success in "Rush Hour," but in this case, more of Chan is less. PG-13.
