TOPEKA -- Lawrence High senior Brooke Seymour won the Topeka High Invitational for the third straight year Wednesday at the Kossover Tennis Center.
Seymour (6-2) entered the day with a 3-2 record and rolled through three matches. She defeated Topeka Seaman's Stephanie Cochran and Topeka High's Emily Carkuff by identical 8-0 scores before beating Olathe East's Katie Eggers 6-2, 6-1 in the finals.
Seymour won the singles title at the Topeka High meet as a sophomore and won the doubles championship last year with partner Nicole Gravino.
Lawrence's Nicole Henry placed sixth in No.2 singles Wednesday. Lisa Dixon and Katherine Wells finished fourth in No. 1 doubles for Lawrence, while Lori Lemesany and Erin Morgan were sixth in No. 2 doubles.
