Chrysler offers

minivan entertaiment

Entertainment "to go" will be offered on all of DaimlerChrysler's minivans including Plymouth Voyager, Dodge Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country.

"In addition to demanding space, convenience and versatility, minivan buyers are feature creatures. An entertainment system will complement our long list of optional minivan features," said James P. Holden, DaimlerChrysler's executive vice president of sales and marketing and general manager of minivan operations.

Among the features: Rear Seat Video entertainment systems, a video cassette player in specially-designed floor console that can be mounted between front seats or second row quad seats, depending on customer preference. An auxiliary input in the console accommodates a video camera, CD player and most popular home video game players. Wireless headphones provide separate audio channels for rear-seat passengers.

The entertainment system goes on sale in November. The manufacturer's suggested retail price is $1,350 plus installation.
