Burglaries and thefts reported
- A 66-year-old Lawrence woman reported the theft of a $4,632 diamond watch and bracelet from her apartment at Brandon Woods Retirement Community, 1501 Inverness, between May 1 and Aug. 13.
Condition reports
- Kim A. Groenhagen, 35, McLouth, was moved Wednesday to the rehabilitation section of Kansas University Medical Center, where he is recovering from burn injuries sustained in a July 30 fire at Heetco Inc. Groenhagen said he was near death three times and had to learn to walk again. He said he hopes to be home in another week.
- Kerry Jymm, 21, Gallup, N.M., was transferred Tuesday in serious condition from KUMC to a hospital in Albuquerque, N.M., to be near his family. Jymm was injured in an automobile accident Aug. 29. He had been in critical condition early this week.
