Jacki Becker, who spends her days fastidiously booking talent for Pipeline Productions, is celebrating her 30th birthday in style. Rather than mourn the loss of her 20s, Becker is throwing a two-day, all-out bash, complete with prizes, giveaways and, of course, tons of great local music, Sept. 24-25 at The Bottleneck, 727 N.H.

"It seemed a good reason to throw a party and raise some money," Becker said. "We're gonna give away lots of stuff. I want everyone who goes there to come away with something."

The Sept. 24 show features Six Percent, Fifteen Minutes Fast, Appleseed Cast, Sufferbus and The Creature Comforts. Local favorite Paw was scheduled to headline the show but had to cancel when guitarist Grant Fitch cut his hand.

The Sept. 25 show will feature The Palindromes, Anniversary, Reflector, Proudentall and Ultimate Fakebook

Proceeds will benefit Women's Transitional Care Services, a Douglas County organization that provides safe shelter for battered women where Becker has volunteered for several years.

"It's gonna be a night to celebrate some of the great local bands that I think are coming up -- to have them all play together for a good cause, and to make fun of me because I'm getting older," she said.
