The game: Lawrence dominated Olathe South on both sides of the ball in the Firebirds' win over the Falcons. Not only did he have 320 yards total offense with five touchdowns, but also was the team's leading tackler -- unofficially with 10 stops, including three for losses.
Comment: "He's becoming a complete player," FSHS coach Bob Lisher said. "We're very confident in his abilities and very proud of what he has accomplished."
Honorable mention: Senior tight end-linebacker T.K. Peterson (three receptions for 136 yards and two TDs, plus a fumble recovery), senior quarterback Nate Vail (94 yards rushing with a TD, plus 232 yards passing for three TDs), and senior linebacker Jimmy Hahn (nine tackles, including a sack).
