Columbia, Mo. - Missouri blanked Kansas University's women's soccer team, 4-0, on Friday at Walton Stadium.

The Tigers scored two goals each half and outshot the Jayhawks, 17-6.

"We gave up some goals we shouldn't have," Kansas coach Mark Francis said. "They capitalized on some errors that we made."

Melanie Schroeder led the Jayhawks with four shots. She placed three on goal, but none past Missouri starting goalkeeper Jackie Adamec and backup goalkeeper Liz Adamec, who shared the shutout with a combined four saves.

Nikkie Thole scored a pair of goals for the Tigers. Heather Buchheit scored one and Erin Grimsley netted a penalty kick with four minutes remaining.

Kansas dropped to 2-3 overall, 0-2 in the Big 12 and Missouri improved to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the Big 12. The Jayhawks will travel to Georgia next Friday for a 7 p.m contest.
