The team of Susan Skepnek, Mary Stein, Bonnie Peterson and Sheryl Christian shot 60 to win the women's competition.
Second place men: Troy Gregory, Gary Dick, Les Dreiling, Dave Bogner (51). Third place: George Hayes, Don Blim, Dave Zechman, Rich Hastings (52).
KU tennis goes 1-1
Wichita -- Kansas University freshman Pete Stroer won his KU tennis debut, but teammate Sebastian Libertino fell during the first day of the Wichita State Shocker Classic on Friday. Stroer defeated Missouri-Kansas City's Angelo Vasilescu, 6-4, 6-2. Libertino fell to Denver's Boris Turkic, 6-3, 2-6, 6-3. The tournament will run through Sunday.
