MONDAY

9 a.m.: Douglas County Commission, county courthouse, 11th and Massachusetts.

3 p.m.-8 p.m.: Community meeting on the city's proposal for a fixed-route bus system, Union Pacific Depot theater room, 402 N. Second. Citizens are invited to drop in during those hours to review the routes and talk with city staff, transit consultants and members of the city's transit advisory committee. Rout information also available at the public library, 707 Vt., and the city manager's office, Sixth and Massachusetts.

6:30 p.m.: North Lawrence Improvement Association picnic, John Taylor Park. Program: Margene Swartz of the City staff will be there to talk about what members want in north Lawrence.
