Clint Wahquahboshkuk becomes the fourth victim of an Aug. 29 wreck in North Lawrence. He died Friday at an Overland Park hospital.

A solemn drum service in memory of the fourth victim of an Aug. 29 North Lawrence crash is set for this weekend.

Clint Wahquahboshkuk, 23, of Mayetta, died at 10:02 a.m. Friday at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. He had been in intensive care since the Chevy S-10 pickup in which he was a passenger veered around a corner, struck Union Pacific railroad tracks and overturned early that Sunday morning.

The truck carried eight men, six of whom were riding in the truck bed. Three of the six were Haskell Indian Nations University students declared dead at the scene.

A hospital spokeswoman said Wahquahboshkuk's family was present when he died. She did not have any further information on his injuries.

A Haskell spokeswoman said Wahquahboshkuk was not a student at the university.

Also Friday, Joshua Longhat of Zuni, N.M., also a passenger in the truck, was released from Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.

Crash victim Kerry Jymm, 21, of Gallup, N.M., remained in critical condition Friday at KU Medical Center.

Pete Wahquahboshkuk of Mayetta, Clint Wahquahboshkuk's father, declined to talk about his son and referred questions to the young man's mother, Jackie Mitchell, also of Mayetta.

Mitchell could not be reached at her home in Mayetta.

Services for Clint Wahquahboshkuk are being arranged by Mercer Funeral Home of Mayetta.

Chris Mercer of Mercer Funeral Home said a drum service for Wahquahboshkuk was planned for Sunday evening at the Dance Grounds on the Potawatomi Indian Reservation west of Mayetta.

Burial is scheduled for Monday afternoon at Mitchell Cemetery on the Potawatomi Reservation.

No definite time was given for the services, Mercer said, in accordance with American Indian tradition.

Killed immediately in the accident were: Yancy Longhat, 20, of Zuni, N.M., and Joshua Longhat's brother; Albert Whitebull, 25, of Kenel, S.D.; and Ray "Mike" Red Elk, 24, of Anadarko, Okla.
