ARMY RESERVE PFC. WILLIAM D. HENCE has arrived at Fort Knox, Ky., to complete basic combat training. Hence is the son of Barbara L. Hence, Lawrence. He is a 1999 graduate of Lawrence High School.
ARMY RESERVE PVT. JAMES M. THORNE JR. has arrived at Fort Knox, Ky., to complete basic combat training. Thorne is the son of Delores J. and James M. Thorne, Tonganoxie. He is a 1998 graduate of Tonganoxie High School.
MARINE CORPS LT. COL. ROBERT J. KNAPP has graduated from the College of Naval Command and Staff at the Naval War College, Newport, R.I. Knapp is the son of Robert E. and Lucile A. Knapp, Tonganoxie. His wife, Theresa, is the daughter of W. Bryce and Jessie M. Helms. Mission Viejo, Cal. He is a 1972 graduate of St. Xaviers High School, Junction City, and a 1976 graduate of Emporia State University.
