CRAIG VAN BLARICUM, Lawrence, will be honored at an Eagle Scout Court of Honor at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at First Christian Church, 1000 Ky.
Van Blaricum began his Scouting career as a member of Pack 3370 at Deerfield School and then joined Troop 53 at the First Christian Church. He has earned 48 merit badges and also received his God and Country Award. He is a member of the Order of the Arrow.
Van Blaricum has attended Camp Alexander in Colorado, a high-adventure canoe excursion to the Boundary Waters of Northern Minnesota, a scuba diving trip off the Florida Keys and Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico.
For his Eagle service project, he designed and constructed shelving for Giving Tree Preschool.
Van Blaricum will graduate from Lawrence High School next spring.
