Friends of the Kaw
to go on canoe trip
Friends of the Kaw will hold its annual floating day trips Sept. 18 and 19 on the Kansas River.
Last year about 250 canoeists participated, organizers of the event said.
The trips begin at 8 a.m. at River Front Park with transportation provided back to the park at trip's end.
The cost is $20 for those who need a canoe and $15 for those who bring their own.
