Anthony Schwager gets a close look inside a cannon on display at the Naval Museum in Washington, D.C. To raise money for his trip, Anthony bottled and sold honey from his bee hives.

Kendra Grosdidier, a teacher at Prairie Park School, led the group of students in their trip to Washington D.C. She's in her eighth year of teaching.

The group assembles in front of the U.S. Capitol. From left are Chelsie Swearingen, Alicia Bowlin, Sharpton, Hemenway, Trembley, Exum, Burg, Anthony Schwager and Brandon Schwager.

Bowlin, left, and Swearingen stand by the display of presidential first ladies at the Museum of American History.

The students pose in front of an outhouse at Mount Vernon. George Washington called the structure "The Necessary." In front are Hemenway, left, and Anthony Schwager. Back row, left to right, are Brandon Schwager, Bowlin, Swearingen, and Sharpton.
