Mrs. John Metsker, Rt. 5, was chosen for the second consecutive year as the Douglas County Farm Bureau Woman of the Year.

The Lawrence Crusaders' Club took hot rods to the American Champion Drag Races at Great Bend and came home with a number of top awards.
