IN 1974

W. Thomas Morgan, executive director of the Senate Committee on Student Discipline at Illinois University, was named as a security consultant for Kansas University. He was to visit for a study of the KU system and would make recommendations for changes and improvements.

Students at KU had launched a campaign for a pre-enrollment process that would cut down on the traditional snags and snarls each fall and spring. Computerization, once the bugs were ironed out, was due to smooth, shorten and refine the process, officials said. There had been a number of foulups in recent years.
