Does Moses being on Kansas University's seal violate separation of church and state?

Betsy Coons,

housewife,

Lawrence

"From the legal standpoint of church and state, yes it does, but it doesn't bother me."

Jim Culea,

KU student,

Lawrence

"Yes, because Moses is related to religion and Catholicism."

Lizzie Vogel,

KU student,

Lawrence

"No, it's fine. I don't have a problem with it."

Ben Schulte,

KU student,

Lawrence

"Yeah, I think it might actually. I personally grew up with a Christian background so Moses is more than a religious symbol, but someone who doesn't have my background might take it a different way. The point of the separation of church and state is that we don't have the problems."
