After installing Tweak UI off Windows 98 CD, it put a Remove Tab Only option for my RIVA 128 video card folder in the Add/Remove programs. Being the experimenter I am, I removed the tab thinking if I uninstalled Tweak UI and rebooted it would come back. Wrong. Any suggestions how to get my tab back so I can access my 3D settings in my video card folder, short of reinstalling Windows 98?
I tried recreating your problem with my RIVA video card by installing then uninstalling the Tweak UI utility. However, you can reinstall your video drivers without having to reinstall Windows 98. The video card you have should have come with a CD that contains the driver. If it doesn't, you can go to the manufacturer's Web site to get it.
Once you have the drivers downloaded or on CD, then go to your Start menu, click on Settings, then Control Panel, then double click the Display control Panel. Click on the Settings tab, then click the Advanced button. You will then have a tab labeled "Adapter." A button labeled Change will be on the Adapter page. Click the Change button. The Update Device Driver Wizard will appear.
Put your CD in your CD-ROM drive and click the Next button. Make sure the CD-ROM drive box is checked. If you downloaded the driver, make sure to click the "Specify a Location" box is checked and then type in the location where you downloaded the driver. Windows 98 should walk you through the rest of the process.
