To the editor:
As a biology teacher at West Junior High for 24 years, it was my privilege to work and share experiences with Stan Roth. My own teaching improved as I attempted to better prepare students for Stan's advanced classes. His influence on the science program in Lawrence is immeasurable. This district should be heaping honors upon an excellent teacher with a national reputation. Instead, it has embarrassed itself and deprived many young people of the finest science instruction.
