The 1999 NCAA football guide lists the capacity of the Rose Bowl at 89,000. However, according to the UCLA media guide, the capacity is 92,000. Moreover, the UCLA guide adds that a record 106,869 witnessed the 1973 USC-UCLA game there.
According to the NCAA guide, Michigan Stadium has the largest seating capacity at 107,501. Tennessee's Neyland Stadium is second at 102,854. Penn State's Beaver Stadium is third at 93,967.
