to hold fishing derby
Lawrence Parks and Recreation will hold a children's fishing derby on Saturday at Mary's Lake, 31st and Haskell.
The event is for children ages 13 and younger. Children must provide their own poles and bait. The cost is $3, and participants must register by noon Friday.
Prizes will be awarded in categories including biggest fish, smallest fish and most unusual fish. Lunch will be served following the event.
