Carbondale, Ill. -- Kansas University's cross country team fell to Southern Illinois, 29-27, on Saturday at SIU's course.
KU senior Andy Tate won the race in 19:53.9. Brent Behrens was fifth in 20:12.7, Pete Prince sixth in 20:14.0 and Brian Blachly 10th in 20:29.1
Also for KU, Nick Beckman notched 17th in 21:11.7 and Kevin McGinn 20th in 21:35.8. Anthony Siler had a time of 22:31.8.
